Founded in 2006 by Ina Rinderknecht, the eponymous international interior design firm specializes in high-end hospitality projects and private luxury properties.
With a holistic approach to interior architecture, Ina Rinderknecht’s design philosophy encompasses all elements of a project, from grand gestures right down to the finest of details, maintaining a high standard of excellence throughout. From as early on as the architectural phase, Ina collaborates with her clients, supervising each stage of the building process to ensure that the interiors she designs are cohesive with the architect’s vision. Ina’s style is meticulous and precise, she seamlessly fuses clean lines with precious materials, creating an understated elegance, sophistication and timelessness in each of the interiors that she designs. Inspired by surrounding historic structures, art, fashion and culture, Ina seamlessly incorporates these elements into each project that she is entrusted with.
Ina Rinderknecht has worked on a vast range of high-profile hotels and top restaurants, ranging from 3 to 5 stars, located in the US, the Caribbean and Europe, as well as further high-end residences, diversifying her portfolio. Due to her international upbringing, the idea of merging the fields of design and travel was something that appealed to her and it quickly became clear that hospitality design would become her passion. The multi-faceted designer has also worked for a select group of global clientele on their private residences.
Ina Rinderknecht has an exciting array of upcoming projects in 2021, including private villas, historic country estates and penthouses across Europe and hotels in Croatia and Switzerland. Her recent projects include worldwide collaborations with leading hospitality companies such as Hilton, Sheraton and Westin.
About Ina Rinderknecht
Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, but with an international upbringing across many continents, Ina Rinderknecht’s love of design began during a school exchange in Yogyakarta where she learnt traditional Indonesian arts and crafts. From there, she graduated from the Istituto Europeo di Design followed by obtaining a Masters Degree of Arts in Design from Domus Academy Milan. Ina started her professional career in Milan before moving to Hawaii to create renowned hospitality spaces with Peter Vincent & Associates.
Whilst working as the lead interior designer on the Park Shore Waikiki Hotel in 2005, owned by the Blackstone Group, she was subsequently asked in 2006 to join this Private Equity firm as a design consultant for their own luxury hotel brand, LXR Luxury Resorts. In 2006, she founded Ina Rinderknecht, her design agency, in San Francisco and returned to her homeland, Zurich, in 2008 where she finally established the firm.
