Charlotte Biltgen

Both a furniture and interior designer, Charlotte Biltgen founded her Paris-based studio in 2015, after more than a decade working at India Mahdavi’s studio. While her roots and training at École Camondo are French, she draws powerful inspiration from travel and encounters. From classical vocabulary, she borrows a sense of precise proportions and timeless elegance, while exploring the inherent qualities of materials, their raw strength and their irregularities. Her forms, at once free-flowing and controlled, emerge from a dialogue between the heritage of the past and the contemporary spirit of the present, between rigour and expressiveness.
