Sacha Walckhoff was born in France in 1962 and spent his childhood in Switzerland. He studied at the School of Fashion Arts and Techniques in Barcelona. He then worked at various fashion houses, including Jean Rémy Daumas, Dorothée Bis, and Michel Klein. In August 1992, he met Christian Lacroix, starting a long collaboration. Initially in charge of ready-to-wear collections and accessories lines, Sacha Walckhoff now oversees the brand’s artistic direction. From 2000, he also consulted for brands like Kenzo and Jean-Claude Jitrois, while continuing his work with Christian Lacroix. Two years later, Lacroix asked him to fully commit to the brand, making him the designer’s right-hand man.
In 2010, when Christian Lacroix left the House, Sacha Walckhoff was appointed Creative Director. Since then, he has created men’s ready-to-wear collections and women’s accessories lines, preserving the House’s style and spirit. He has expanded the brand’s lifestyle side, introducing collections of tableware, furnishing fabrics, wallpaper, stationery, and home accessories. Since January 2014, alongside his work for Christian Lacroix, Sacha Walckhoff has been developing his own personal designs.
