Founded in 2009 by Mahmut Kefeli, Kerem Erçin, and İrem Başer, escapefromsofa designs and executes both residential projects as well as offices and retail spaces. Based in Istanbul, the agency creates sophisticated and minimalist interiors. Furthermore, thanks to the complementary expertise of the founders in both industrial design and interior architecture, innovative, aesthetic, and functional projects are born.

escapefromsofa utilizes local craftsmanship for its creations and meticulously selects materials and colors to create environments that are both dynamic and soothing, stimulating and comforting.

Drawing inspiration from nature, art, and everyday life, the agency designs harmonious spaces that blend East Asian aesthetics with Bauhaus movement principles. Modern and warm, the interiors are characterized by clean lines and refined natural materials.
