Juliette Rubel

A graduate of the Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués (LISAA) and the École Spéciale d’Architecture (ESA), Juliette Rubel began working on the design of restaurants and major retail brands at an early stage.

Drawing on her experience and these specialisations, in 2017 she founded her architecture studio with a strong interest in interior design.  She expresses a retro-futuristic spirit in her designs, where light – both natural and artificial – shapes the space. The interplay of mirrors reveals bold combinations of bright colours in the style of conceptual artists such as Dan Flavin and James Turrell.

Juliette has notably designed the Giorgio and Peppe pizzerias on rue des Martyrs, in a vibrant, hypnotic atmosphere. The Californian canteen Echo, meanwhile, has a more sober ambience, featuring natural wood. In 2020, the interior designer began working with the French ready-to-wear brand Officine Générale. From Seoul to Paris, via New York and Los Angeles, she consistently designs unique spaces imbued with elegance and timelessness.

Guided by an aesthetic conviction, Juliette Rubel recently unveiled an Olga wine bar with a vintage feel. She is now creating the luminous décor for the Maslow restaurant, a vast establishment dedicated to engaging vegetarian cuisine. Finally, she has imagined the draft cocktail bar The Honey Moon, a cross between an American diner and a 1970s private club.
